History of the Liqui tipping jack (as far as I have been able to research so far)
In the 80s, a brilliant inventor/tinkerer named Hubert Liqui from Paderborn Germany had the idea of building a tipping jack with which a vehicle could be tilted 90 degrees to the side. This means you can carry out work on the underbody of a vehicle without having to work overhead.
Hubert Liqui founded the company Liqui-Technik in Paderborn and from there manufactured and sold his worldwide patented car jacks, jacks and tilting jacks.
I bought the tipping jacks used because they are no longer manufactured. One of the sellers knew Mr. Liqui and confirmed that he was a very serious technician and businessman who ran the business together with his wife.
Unfortunately, the brilliant inventor became seriously ill and died.
After Hubert Liqui’s death, a dubious profiteer, as it later turned out, bought the patents and did fraudulent business with the good reputation of the Liqui tipping jack.
Unfortunately, the Internet is now full of them.
I am an avowed fan of the Liqui tipping jack and regret that it is no longer manufactured.
Not least in memory of a brilliant inventor and his brilliant tipping jack – but because this tool is simply really brilliant, I am offering it for rent.
If you know more about the history of the Liqui tipping jack and its inventor, please let me know.
I would also be happy to receive pictures and photos about Hubert Liqui and the creation of the tipping jack.
